Those who wish to attend one of these collections must call our collection contractor ECS&R to pre-register to attend. Nominal fees are charged for items dropped off and the program is open to all area residents, regardless of where they live.
Items accepted include: paint and paint products, pesticides, poisons, pool chemicals, cleaning chemicals, auto fluids, gasoline and flammable liquids, auto and household batteries, fluorescent bulbs, all types of electronics and SMALL freon appliances such as dehumidifiers and apartment-sized refrigerators.

This month, Amy Arner will present “Research in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County.” Amy is a former member of CGC and is the chairperson for the North Hills Genealogists Fall Conference, among many other tasks she performs as a member of their board. Come and say hello to Amy and hear an excellent presentation on how to make the best use of your time when visiting the various city and county archival resources downtown.

For grades 6th-12th. We meet twice a month typically every other Monday from 4:00-5:00 PM. Be an important part of your community by helping to plan and run library events for kids and teens! Teen Advisory Board members also give Ms. Rachael their input for new books, DVDs, CDs, and magazines to purchase for the library. Teens receive volunteer hours for all TAB events. No registration required.

Playtime Pals is a group for parents and children to come together to build friendships and burn off energy. We meet in the gym from 11:30-12:30 for open gym time. This is an opportunity for children to play with a variety of gym equipment, including scooters, hula hoops, basketballs, bowling pins, etc. At 12:30 we clean up and will eat lunch and make a craft together. LUNCH IS NOT PROVIDED, please pack.
