    Part 2 or “Cranfest” at the Municipal Center - A first of its kind in Cranberry, this celebration of the Township’s ethnic and culturally diverse population is an outgrowth of two highly successful events last year: the “Our Diverse Neighbors” section of Community Days in Community Park and a fall Diversity Picnic held at North Boundary Park.

    Learn the challenges of responsible and safe babysitting in this program! This course is designed for participant’s ages 11-15 interested in becoming a certified babysitter. The course is fun and fast-paced with hands-on activities, DVD segments and role-plays. It teaches young people how to care for children and infants, be good leaders and role models, make good decisions, solve problems and stay safe. All courses include a Safe Sitter Kit which comes with a Safe Sitter Student Handbook, Completion Card, Important Numbers Notepad, Bandage Dispenser, LED Flashlight and a Drawstring Bag. PLEASE BRING A LUNCH AND DRINK. Perfect for young girls and boys, ages 11 - 15.

    Join Jerry Andree for coffee, conversation and a tour of the new public safety training facility. In addition, visitors will see the Volunteer Fire Company conduct two training exercises, one on Vehicle Fires and the other on Forcible Entry. Vehicle Fires is a training course that involves hands-on live fire exercises that offer our volunteers the opportunity to practice the strategies and tactics necessary to extinguish automobile fires in a real life setting. Forcible Entry is a practical exercise that covers the techniques necessary to gain access to a building with various fire services tools using several training props.
