Overview
Cranberry Township's municipal charter requires its governing Board of Supervisors to enact a balanced budget each year - which for us is the same as the calendar year. This section includes a summary of the Township's current budget, a discussion of the budget process, and a description of the various taxes we collect.
- Our budget includes, in addition to normal Township operations, revenue and expenses from 17 different funds.
- For municipal operations, our largest source of revenue is from our .5% earned income tax.
- Our next largest source of revenue is from our 10.65 mill property tax.
- Our bond rating, from Moody's Investor Service, is Aa2.
- Our workforce includes 106 full-time employees and about 200 part-time workers.
