Low-Income Energy Assistance Program
Also known as LIHEAP, helps low-income families pay their heating bills. LIHEAP is a grant that offers assistance in the form of a cash grant, sent directly to the utility company, or a crisis grant for households in immediate danger of being without heat. If you applied last year, an application will be mailed to you. If you are newly applying you may apply online by using the COMPASS website, which offers information regarding additional benefits.
Community Health Clinic of Butler County
Do you need healthcare? Are you uninsured? The clinic is a non-profit, community-based volunteer organization established to provide primary health-care to Butler County residents who have no health benefits and do not qualify for any other health services.
Who is eligible? Butler County residents ages 19-64, with no private or government-funded insurance. Yearly household income guidelines also apply. The clinic is located in the Eagle Commercial Center in Butler, just outside of town.
